AMD is a top-of-the-line composite fabricator that specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of composite construction materials. Traditionally used in the aerospace industry, AMD’s composite materials feature low weight, thinner profile, high tensile strength, and non-corrosive structural properties ideal for the building industry.
The realization of traditional benefits of composites in the structural engineering has grown rapidly. The design limitations are no longer a constraint and the added benefits of reduced cost and environmental impact has enabled composites to replace concrete, aluminum, wood, and steel structures.
AMD manufactures fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) including GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) with properties that match or exceed equivalent steel profiles with reduced weight and longer life. They are used to strengthen a wide variety of building structures for shear, flexure, and axial loads. They also offer excellent thermal and insulation properties along with weathering and chemical resistance.
Additionally, AMD can also infuse tailored properties to suit varying needs of customers by adding additives and fillers to enhance fire retardancy, UV protection, and other characteristics of composites.
